The Bayfield Historical Society is not only a place for learning but also serves as a tourist centre promoting the village of Bayfield as a heritage landmark in southwestern Ontario. Each year, we welcome tourists and visitors from across Ontario, Canada and abroad.
-
The Archives & Heritage Centre is at 20 Main St. N., Bayfield, Ontario (next to the public library).
The Bayfield Historical Society is open during the summer through to Labour Day weekend, Wednesdays to Sundays, from 10am to 4:30pm, and by appointment. Hours may vary.
Between September and June, we are open by appointment only. Please email bhsmembers@gmail.com to make arrangements.
The Society also participates in community events, such as Remembrance Day and Christmas in Bayfield. Our volunteers are available year-round by appointment if you have a research request or wish to donate records or objects that might contribute to the history of our community.

We operate a small boutique featuring vintage prints, postcards, notecards and books that illuminate our past and make wonderful gifts. All proceeds support our work. View our items online here.
